Tyler gets accepted to his program!

We found out today that Tyler got in to North Idaho College's Radiographic Technology program! So we will be moving to Coeur d'Alene in August :) We are thrilled! We went to a new Chinese place to celebrate. It was super spicy. This is Tyler's happy face:

Coeur d'Alene

We are on pins and needles awaiting to see how Tyler's interview went at Northern Idaho College! We are pretty lame about taking pictures, and we only took like 2 all weekend when we went up to Coeur d'Alene. We will work on that, so that the blog is more interesting! The big news about this post is that Tyler completely shaved for the interview! Here is proof:

We drove "downtown" and walked down the pier. This is all like a mile from NIC which is right on the water. Tyler could have lunch breaks at the beach! We drove around NIC and theres a small, sandy beach right across from the school. The whole lake is surrounded by beautiful mountain that you can kind of see in this picture. Coeur d'Alene (CDA) is quite small but was beautiful and had a great small-town feel. The "downtown" was only a few blocks, but had lots of restaurants and art gallery/shops.

We went through Oregon and Washington on our way home. We stopped at Hought's 24 Flavors in LaGrande, Oregon for milkshakes. I got lemon meringue pie, and Tyler got some kind of berry. The place was a classic 50s diner style, and everyone was very friendly. We had only taken 1 picture so far, so here was #2!

Trip to see Logan, Twin Falls

I had not been able to attend Grandpa Vic's funeral, so I was glad that we got to see Grandma Susan on our way home from Ogden. We stopped and stayed the night with her in Logan, and it was very beautiful at their house up on the mountain. Grandpa is buried only a mile or so away, and it was very peaceful and private there. This is his grave:

On the way back, we made a few stops. Before leaving Logan, we did a session at the Logan temple, where my parents were married:

 Then we went to the Logan Tabernacle. Grandma Susan said it was cool, and that they used to have their stake conference there years ago. Here's our selfie at the Tabernacle:

 stopped in Twin Falls to shop and walk around the temple where we got married. This was us on our wedding day in August 2010:

After Twin Falls, we went to Gooding and stayed with Tyler's parents and went to church with them before coming home. It was a great weekend.

Visiting The Dukes!

A few weeks ago, we went to Odgen to see the Dukes! Here's a picture of me and Matt:

I sure was happy to see him! What a cutie. He had no problem beating me (by a lot) in bowling! And let's face it, he is a natural athlete- good at pretty much every sport! Matt loved all the arcade games, it was fun to watch him shooting hoops and picking out prizes. We had lots of fun banging into each other at bumper cars! His older brother Alex is quite awesome himself! It's always great to see them. Their little sister, Emily is quite adorable with curly hair and big cheeks!

We went bowling, mini golfing, bumper cars, and had lunch together. It was a really fun day!

Dogs

We have been looking at dogs. We went to see a puppy yesterday. She is only like 2 months old, so we thought she was a little bit too young. We will probably be looking for an older dog. One who is trained and is quiet, small, and fluffy! I think this puppy was a pug shih tzu mix. Here is Tyler with her. She was very hyper and kept biting his hands!

 Maybe this one below will be our next dog.. I found her on the Best Friends website! Isn't she cute?
