Our Saturday: Bogus Basin & Gyros

Some of my favorite Saturdays are the ones that we go around town doing random things. A couple Saturdays ago, we did just that. We started off on a quest to find bicycles. We went to about 5 bike shops learning about our options and seeing what's out there. We didn't end up getting anything, because we do have our upcoming move and will probably wait until we are in Coeur d'Alene, but it was fun to look anyway. Boise seems like it would be a great town to bike around with the greenbelt and small downtown area, lots of residential areas, etc. But we'd also need a bike rack, and it would be quite a long drive to Coeur d'Alene with bikes on the back of the car, so we haven't sprung for them yet. But we will be on the lookout for bikes in CDA, I'm sure. So then we got hungry and went to try a new gyro place called The Gyro Shack. It was super good. I got a philly cheesesteak gyro, and Tyler got a spicy gyro. They had a lot of options and it was yummy!

Then we went to pretty much the top of Bogus Basin which is a big mountain for skiing/snowboarding in Boise. It was very windy and the road was winding for 20 minutes! We got to see a great view, but we couldn't find the top of the mountain! When we thought we got pretty much as far up as we wanted to go because my ears were popping and I was feeling a bit carsick! So we pulled over at a little overlook area. From the other side of the mountain, you could see the city, but this is more of the mountain view. We are still practicing our selfie skills, but here it is!
