I was able to get the 4th of July off, which was great! The day started with a ward breakfast. It's kind of bittersweet, because we have really gotten to know and love the ward, and now we are leaving in less than a month! This is Brittnee and her son, Owen. He is so cute!
Here's a better one of his little smile!
So after the breakfast, we went to Gooding for the weekend. Luckily, we had just purchased a $10 state park pass, so we could stop at Malad Gorge.
This part of the park was called Devil's Washbowl:
Jessica made some delicious patriotic drinks out of cranberry juice, pina colada juice, and blue gatorade:
The next day, Jessica, Caitlin, and I drove to Twin Falls with Pemberly and Ellie. I was in the back and did a photo shoot:
Then me and Miss Ellie had our turn. She liked my sunglasses :)
There are many more! As you can see, we had lots of fun, and I couldn't resist when Ellie asked for more :)
Rawr!!! She is too much fun.
So, the boys had not eaten all day. When their wives are gone, they starve I suppose! Tyler and I had to jet off to the nearest taco truck before he starved to death!
We found this little gem:
Tacos San Jose!
They took cash only, so here's what we could buy with the $4 in my wallet: Two steak burritos ($1.50 each) and a steak taco ($1). And no tax. We were going to try one with chicken, but they were out of chicken at the time. It was very fresh and delicious! The taco and burritos both had fresh cilantro and onions, and the salsas tastes really fresh and different. I liked it. Very spicy.
The taco truck was right across the street from the hotel where Tyler and I stayed the first night we were married. It's not called the Get Inn anymore..but I forgot to see what the new name is!
Tyler did a great job braiding Lilly's hair for church:
And then he was being silly for the camera when I asked for a smile!
